Diverse disabilities, Varying Communities and Interests
Our Peer Support Groups provide safe spaces for sharing lived experiences, exchanging information, and connecting with others in the local community or around shared topics or issues. Led by people with disabilities, these groups cover a range of topics including navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), local issues and activities, community concerns, key issues affecting people with disabilities, and supporting each other in achieving personal goals.
We have groups located all around Queensland. If there isn’t a group nearby or if attending in person is challenging, you can join some groups online. All groups meet at least once a month.

The Peer Connect website was created on Kaurna Country. We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains and pay our respects to Elders past and present. The peer groups and networks on this site extend across many other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations and language groups throughout Australia, and we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of those Countries and their continuing connection to land, waters and community.
This site exists for people with disability to connect, learn and thrive. No matter your background, identity or lived experience, you belong here. Welcome.
