Family, carers and other informal supporters play a central role in supporting people living with disability to live a good life. Families may support a person to access good information, manage funding, provide daily care, transport and emotional and social support. Parents of children living with disability will be integral to the NDIS planning for their child. A person living with disability will benefit where that family and support is strong.

This section is designed to help start a conversation in your peer network about goal setting for families of people living with disability and about the importance of looking after yourself.
