This section carries QuickGuides about connecting to local community organisations. You can reach them using the index to the left.

Most communities already have local community organisations of one kind or another, whether it is a local Rotary club, a gardening group, a business council, sports clubs, and so on.  Often, these organisations may have facilities or other resources that you could use if you ask nicely. By approaching these organisations, not only do you make it possible to access resources for your peer network, but you also make it possible that some of your peer network members might join one of those community organisations.  This is one way that peer networks can help people take up valued roles in their communities.
